It’s just two main ingredients – avocado and gremolata. The rest is seasoning. No gremolata? See my note below.
This is how I make it:
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed with a fork
- lemon juice
- herb salt (or other favourite salt)
- freshly ground black pepper
- ginger powder
- 1 good tablespoon of gremolata
Add ginger powder and herb salt to taste. Add the lemon juice and gremolata and stir well. That’s it!
You can use this as a dip or spread on crispy flat bread (I like the type with sesame seed) or as part of your salad.
Tip: Add your dose of turmeric to it!
Note: No gremolata in the refrigerator? Then just add about a tablespoon of finely minced parsley, the zest of an untreated lemon and a small, minced garlic clove (or more, if you like).
